Pastor Kunle Oladokun is a chartered accountant and an Economist. He has a track record in tax administration having cut his professional teeth in Alpha Beta, one of the most successful tax consulting firms in Nigeria. He currently sits on the board of Malachy Microfinance Bank.

Q. As a tax consultant, how are you able to mainstream Christian principles and values in your everyday life?
A. Over time the Lord has exposed me to sit under faithful ministers of the gospel who have, by the help of the Spirit, enshrined the Christian principles on stewardship, accountability, faithfulness, contentment and many more.  This has gone a long way to help in my tax practice and help to say ‘no’ to ungodliness, bribery, falsehood etc which further strengthens the ethical and professional standard as an Accountant and Tax Practitioner. I have learnt to live by this, no matter the immediate cost. I have also discovered that nothing pays like righteous life.
Q. Please share your salvation experience with us
A. I was privileged to receive the gospel as a teenager. Though born in a Muslim home, the light of God shone in my heart. I saw my sinful life despite the religiosity of prayer, fasting etc. I equally saw how helpless and vulnerable I was. On the other hand, I saw the hope that Christ, the light of the world, offers so I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in August, 1987. My life changed. I was free from sin, filled will unusual joy and strength. I became victorious over forces of darkness that used to oppress me. I started to record steady progress in my life journey and succeeded where several of my contemporaries failed and suffered irreversible setbacks. Amazing grace, glory to God.
Q. Specifically, tell us the secrets of how you are able to overcome anger, unforgiveness, lust, pride, love of money and all other things we struggle with daily as human beings.
A. From childhood, I grew up in tough part of my town and as boys you just got to be hard. Until I got born again, I was full of anger, vengeance and all kinds of youthful vices. I owe everything to God’s grace and the help of   Holy Spirit who has always been there for me; He changed my life, gave me daily strength to say no to fiery temptations such as lust, pride, anger and the likes.  But it is not without tools of prayers, deliberate efforts to read and obey the word of God on daily basis, regular fellowship with God and children of God anywhere I find myself.
Q. If a young person came to you asking “what’s the most important thing for living a good life”, what would you say? In other words, what valuable lessons have you learnt in and about life that you want to share with others?
A. In a nut shell, godliness, hard work, diligence, ambitious, determination and trust in God Almighty. Don’t make haste but trust. Be prayerful and keep on dreaming bigger and bigger. Never look down on yourself no matter the opinion of others or your background. Set your goals, keep saying it. Write it and tell it to God constantly. Above all, make God your ally by being in fellowship and service of God.
Q. Please, tell us about yourself stating when and where you were born, schools attended, qualifications obtained, your career, family, hobbies etc
A. I am Kunle from Ibadan. I was born in 1970 to the family of Late Pa Oladokun Amuda and Madam Oyinade  of Akinyele and Lagelu LGA, Oyo State.  I had my primary education at Christ Apostolic Primary School, Olugbode, 1976 to 1982. I proceeded to Ogbere High School and Loyola College where I completed my secondary education in 1987. Thereafter I obtained my Bsc Economics and Masters degree in Business Administration both from University of Ilorin. Pursuant to my dream of becoming an Accountant, I qualified as an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and later was conferred with the Fellowship of the prestigious institute as well as member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
I started my career life with the renowned revenue consultants, the firm of Olusola Adekanola & Co (Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners). 1997 to 2000, I joined Apha Betta Consultants, 2000 to 2005. I quest to be self-employed, I started my private Tax Practice trading as LOR Consulting and latter obtained license to practice as Kunle Oladokun & Co (Chartered Accountants).
I joined the firm of Abiola Abioye & Co as partner which later transformed to a consulting firm, DOC AA Consultants as an Executive Director on Internally Generated Revenue Cycle Management, Tax Advisory, Training and HR Consulting services. Given the wealth of experience in financial services and zeal to drive further services to humanity particularly the active poor, women and youths, I joined the vision of co- founding and served as Managing Director of Malachy Microfinance Bank Limited in the city of Calabar, Cross River State.  Am happily married to Pastor Yemisi Oladokun, my partner in life and ministry who we jointly fellowship and pastor in the Redeem Christian Church of God.
