Naval Officer among those who bagged PhD in Unical’s 34th Convocation
A serving Naval Officer, Commander Regina Eleazu-Uriri, is among those who earned a PhD at the 34th convocation of the University of Calabar.
She earned a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning, thus making her one of the members of the elite corp
s of education professionals that will be planning and administering Nigeria’s education programs
She enrolled for the programme in 2014/2015 academic session and successfully completed it in 2019/2020 academic session on time for this year’s convocation.
An educationist, Dr. Eleazu-Uriri, has served the Navy in several capacities in the Education Corps including serving as the Commandant of the Navy Secondary School, Akpabuyo, between 2012 and 2015
During her tenure as Commandant of the Navy Secondary School, Akpabuyo, she introduced reforms that made the students excel academically and the school to win laurels in both academic and sporting competitions nationwide.
She has won several awards and recognitions for her outstanding service while serving as Commandant and recently, while on a UN military courses in Netherlands and Uganda.
