Chief Wilfred Inah The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams, on Sunday expressed grief over the death of elder statesman and one time Head of Service of the state, Chief Wilfred Oden Inah. A statement by the Speaker’s spokesman, Mr. Hope Obeten, said Williams received the news of the passing away of Chief Wilfred Oden Inah with profound sorrow and described his death as a huge loss not only to Yakurr nation but also to the state and country as a whole. “He was a national figure. Who served the state and country in various capacities.

He was the first Commissioner to represent Cross River State in the newly created Federal Character Commission in 1995 and served till his tenure expired in 2000, He said.
